Burscough Leisure Centre
The Challenge
Burscough Leisure Centre required an M&E upgrade as part of a wider refurbishment, delivered in collaboration with Universal Civils. The project involved installing new heating and cooling systems to gym, reception, and staff areas within an existing, operational leisure centre. Key challenges included integrating new services into ageing infrastructure with limited existing capacity, coordinating closely with ongoing refurbishment works, and carefully phasing the installation to minimise disruption to users while maintaining comfort throughout the works.
Our Solution
At Burscough Leisure Centre, Hensall worked in collaboration with Universal Civils to design, install, and commission a modern heating and cooling solution as part of the wider refurbishment works.
New mechanical systems were carefully integrated into the existing building to provide improved environmental control across the gym, reception, and staff areas. This included efficient heating and cooling solutions designed to enhance comfort while working within the constraints of the existing infrastructure.
The installation was closely coordinated with ongoing refurbishment and civils works to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to the live leisure environment. Through careful planning, sequencing, and on-site collaboration, Hensall successfully delivered a fully commissioned system that improved overall comfort, efficiency, and performance across the upgraded areas.
