Walnuts Leisure Centre required a major mechanical and electrical refurbishment to modernise its facilities, including pools, gym, studios, and public areas, while remaining fully operational. Works involved integrating new mechanical systems with existing infrastructure, improving ventilation, heating, and water services, alongside upgrading electrical distribution, lighting, and life safety systems. At Walnuts Leisure Centre, Hensall delivered a fully coordinated mechanical and electrical refurbishment, upgrading key building services while maintaining full operation of the live leisure facility.
The mechanical works included the installation and enhancement of ventilation, heating, and domestic water systems, carefully integrated with existing infrastructure to improve performance and reliability across pool, gym, studio, and changing areas. Electrical upgrades covered lighting, power distribution, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance and improved efficiency throughout the building.
All works were carefully phased and sequenced to minimise disruption to members and staff, with close coordination across trades to maintain safe access to facilities throughout the programme.
